After an illness which lasted for almost three months, Mrs. Mae Hackett, of 
Ionia, passed away at the Cook convalescent home in that city Monday evening at 
the age of 83 years.  Her husband, Robert, preceded her in death six years 
ago.  Mrs. Hackett had been in the Ionia County Memorial hospital for the past 
two and one-half months and only Saturday had been transferred to the 
convalescent home. 

She is survived by four children, a daughter, Mrs. Clair Baker; three sons, 
Albert and Lee, all of Ionia, and Edward of this city; two grandchildren and 
eight great grandchildren.

Services will be held this morning at 9 o’clock at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic 
church in Ionia and interment will be in the Catholic cemetery of that city.
