Ferne E. Hackett, 90, of Ionia died Sunday at Ionia County Memorial Hospital. 
She was born Nov. 19, 1902, the daughter of L.J. and Ida Ray Wandell.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ionia, and had served
as bookkeeper at Marshall-Wright Lumber Co. in Ionia for more than 40 years. 
She was a member of the Ionia Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are a sister, Winona Stilwell of Ionia; and two nieces, Marcia Johnson
of Holly and Judith Shea of Mt. Clements.  She was preceded in death by her two
husbands, Allen McKendry and Lee Hackett.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home, with
the Rev. Lawrence Hodge officiating.  Burial will be in Easton Cemetery.  The
family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  A memorial for
the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund has been established, in care of
the funeral home.
