April 30, 1975 ALBERT J. HACKETT Albert J."Bert" Hackett, 81, a life-time Ionia resident, passed away Wednesday morning at Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids after being a patient there for the last two weeks, He was born in Orange township, the son of Robert and Carrie Rogers Hackett. A veteran of World War I, he served overseas with the U.S. Army. After completing school, he worked at Ypsilanti-Reed in Ionia and then worked as custodian at the Ionia County National bank for 30 years before retiring in 1965. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church and a member of the Sheridan VFW post. He is survived by one brother, Lee Hackett, of Ionia; one sister, Mrs. Edith Baker of Ionia. One brother, Edward, preceded him in death. Services will be Saturday at 9 am from SS. Peter and Paul church in Ionia, with the Rev. Edward Orlowski officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Ionia. Parish rosary will be recited Friday at 7:30 pm from the Leddick funeral home. The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends and relatives Thursday and Friday from 7 to 9 , and Friday from 2 to 4 pm. Additional Comments: Mt.
