Sentinel-Stendard - Wednesday, June 4, 1969

Ira J. Hackley, 85, of 2071 North State road died Tuesday evening at his 
residence of an apparent heart attack according to Coroner Dale Kauffman.

Born March 14, 184 in Millbrook, he was the son of Lucas and Eliza Jane Norman 
Hackley. His wife Penny preceded him in death.

He was a barber in Benton Harbor several years and upon retirement came to 
Ionia nine years ago to make his home with his sister, Mrs. Bertha Lett of 
North State road, who survives. 

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 pm at Myers funeral home. Rev. Chester 
Erickson will officiate and interment will be at Clear Lake cemetery in 
Montcalm county.
