The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, August 18, 1953

Arthur A. Hadden, 65, of 18 East Elm street, Chicago, and president of 
McClure, Hadden, and Ortman Inc., management engineering firm, died Sunday at 
Wesley Memorial hospital.

Mr. Hadden, a frequent visitor to Ionia and who was the husband of the former 
Martha Steele of Ionia and Chicago, was born in Minneapolis, Minn., and 
graduated from Dartmouth College in 1909.  He was made president of the 
McClure, Hadden, and Ortman firm in 1944.  In 1945 he was named one of ten 
outstanding industrial engineers in Chicago and in 1952 was named to the 
national board of directors of the MTM Association for Standards and Research.

He was a member of the American Society of Management Engineers, the National 
Association of Cost Accountants and the Association of Consulting Management 
Engineers Clubs.

He is survived by his wife, Martha, and three sisters, Mrs. Jean Reynolds, 
Mrs. Helen Harkness, and Miss Elizabeth Hadden.  

Funeral services are to be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Carroll 
Funeral home in Chicago.  The body is to be cremated.
