He is survived by his wife, six children, John Hafner of Lansing, Herman Hafner of Ionia, Mrs. Frank Dean of Ionia, Mrs. Herman Stanke of Flint, Clarence Hafner of Swartz Creek, and Theodore Hafner of Lansing; one sister, Miss Minnie Hafner of Ionia; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was born in Germany, and came to the United States about 56 years ago, and has been married 50 years. He is a retired Pere Marquette railroadman. Prayer service will be held at the Bradley funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, and funeral services will be held at the St. Johns Lutheran church, North Jefferson street, at 2:30, with the Rev. R. A. Rook officiating. Burial will be at the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
