Helen was born Dec. 18, 1927, to Fred and Eva Hopkins Minikey in Orleans. She was raised mostly in the Orleans area and surrounding towns. In elementary, she attended local country schools. In November of 1958 in Ohio, she married Harry Hagen, her lifelong love and friend of 48 years. She had many hobbies regarding outside gardening and sewing. She loved sewing and worked for Chrysler for 10 years refining her talent. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Eva Mae Ledsworth, Linda Wallace; sister, Opal Wilson; and brother, Don Minikey. Helen is survived by her husband, Harry; daughter, Shirley and Ronald Kilts of Greenville; son, Fred Wallace of Howard City; two sisters, Ruth Woodbury of Orleans, Dorothy Andrews of Ionia; brother, Lyle Minikey; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Huffman-Brigham Funeral Chapel, Belding, officiated by Pastor Ken Harger. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made out to the Diabetes Association of Michigan.
