There is no doubt but that his first illness was due to an attack of quinsy, an ailment which had before given him great trouble. It is not at all improbable that this death was the ultimate result of the same disease. Deceased was approaching his 35th year. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sterling, of Chicago, brother-in-law and sister, respectively, of Mr. Haggerty, arrived yesterday. They brought with them receipts showing that $3000 of insurance in the Maccabees and $1000 in the Foresters, both carried in Chicago lodges, was in force at time of death, though it was feared it might have lapsed. Deceased leaves three children, the eldest a boy of seven years. Robert Haggerty died Monday of diphtheria after an illness of only a week. He leaves a wife and several small children. He was a young man – a railroader, and was well liked by his associates and friends generally. The young widow has the heartfelt sympathy of many friends. Additional Comments: Mt.
