Hahn, of Jackson, formerly of Portland, passed away peacefully at the Arbor Manor Care Center in Spring Arbor, Aug. 5, 2005, where he was lovingly cared for by the staff and Great Lakes Hospice. Clarence retired from General Motors after 33 years of service. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #2168. He was predeceased by his parents Max and Anna Hahn; brother, Erwin; sister, Mildred Simmons; infant son, Clarence G. Jr., and son-in-law, Roy Pung. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Agnes; daughters, Charlene Pung of Jackson, Donna (Kenneth) Schrauben of Portland, and Kathleen (Paul) Verska of Clinton Township; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Conner of Allendale, and Anna Whitington of Ionia. According to his wishes Mr. Hahn was cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial was held Aug. 9 at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, Jackson with the Rev. Robert H. McGraw officiating. Arrangements were handled by the Desnoyer Funeral Home, Jackson. Contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice of Jackson or Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church.
