Haight, Sr., died at the Blodgett hospital Tuesday morning, where she had been the past three weeks, ill with heart disease, an ailment which had caused her much suffering the past year. Mrs. Haight, who was Miss Katherine Kilduff before her marriage, was born in Ionia 61 years ago, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kilduff. She had spent virtually her entire life in Ionia, and given of it devotedly to her home, her church, and the community. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul church, and active in all of its auxiliaries. For a time she was the president of the west division St. Anthony’s guild, and at the time of her death was the president of the Rosary society and the L.A.O.H. In her every day life she exemplified the sweetest Christian character, and through her pleasing personality and gentle mannerisms acquired a large circle of friends. Besides her husband she leaves a daughter, Mrs. P.L. Beahan, of Ionia; two sons, Ed. Haight, Jr., of Ionia, and Louis Haight, of Detroit. The funeral arrangements are awaiting the arrival of the funeral party from Grand Rapids late Tuesday afternoon.
