Hainer, 66, of Kalamazoo passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at his home. He was born April 20, 1940, in St. Johns to Paul and Dorothy Hainer. He graduated from Delton High School in 1959 and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1959-1962. He lived most of his life in Kalamazoo and worked for Eaton Corp. in Kalamazoo for 22 years, then Hydro Manufacturing in Parchment before retiring in January 2006 after 24 years with that company. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge of Kalamazoo and served as a past master of the lodge. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Mead; and a half-sister, Bertha. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Kathy and John Wonsey; two sons, Charles and Stephanie Hainer of Grand Blanc and John Hainer of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert and Libby Hainer of Galesburg; a half sister, Penny; and a half-brother, Paul Hainer. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City, with Pastor Ried Martin of First Congregational Church officiating. Interment is in Westside Cemetery, Hubbardston. Visitation is 11 a.m. Saturday until the funeral begins.
