Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 31 May 1950

Belding – Mrs. Hazel Nellie Haines, 56, died at the Ionia County Memorial
hospital Tuesday night after being a patient there for three days.  She was born
Hazel Nellie Jones, daughter of Peter and Helen Jones, in Orleans Township Feb
3, 1894.  She had been a resident of Smyrna for the past three years, moving
there from Grattan.  Her husband Judson Haines, died early in January, 1950. 
Mrs. Haines is a member of Smyrna Hive of the Macabees.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Ellis funeral home with
Rev. H.S. Ellis officiating.  Interment will be in the family lot, Smyrna cemetery.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Wines of Ionia, Mrs. Marie Coles and
Miss Dorothy Haines of Smyrna and Miss Ruth Haines of Greenville; four sons,
Louis, Howard, Margin and Herbert of Smyrna; three grandchildren; one sister,
Miss Dorothy Jones, of Grand Rapids; and a brother, Herbert Jones of Newton
Upper Falls, Mass.
