Ionia County News - Thursday, Jan. 19, 1950

Judson E. Haines, 73, died Monday evening of a heart attack at his home in 
Smyrna. Mr. Haines had suffered from a heart condition for years and during the 
past months had several attacks.

He was born Jan. 23, 1876, the son of Frank and Mary Haines, near Saranac and 
lived in that locality many years. He went to the Smyrna neighborhood about 10 
years ago.

Survivors are his wife, the former Hazel Jones Wine; three daughters, Mrs. 
James Crowley of Belding, Rt. 1, Dorothy of Belding and Ruth of Greenville, a 
stepdaughter, Miss Marjorie Wine of Ionia; four sons, Howard of Belding, Rt. 1, 
Louis, Marvin and Herbert at home. 

Funeral services will be held at the Ellis Funeral Home, Belding, at 2:30 
Friday afternoon. Rev. H. S. Ellis will officiate and interment will be in 
Smyrna cemetery.
