Ionia County News, 6 Dec 1962

Mrs. Edna J. Haines, 77, of 182 Runyan Road, Jordan Lake, died at 7:35 p.m.
Tuesday, November 27, at Pennock Hospital, in Hastings, where she was admitted
early Tuesday morning.  Born July 29, 1885, at Fruitport, the daughter of
Chester and Mary Richardson Jones, she married Howard Haines on March 17, 1928
at Vermontville.  Mr. and Mrs. Haines lived in Holt prior to moving to Lake
Odessa a year ago.

Surviving beside her husband are five daughters, Betty Lou at home, Mrs. Jerome
(Eleanor) LaFontzee of Grand Ledge, Mrs. Otto (Evelyn) Dawson of Lansing, Mrs.
Robert (Dorothea) Demaray of North Dakota, Mrs. Alice Carmen of Saranac; two
sons, Earl Kirschenman of Lansing and Clyde of Portland; a brother, Loren Jones
of Lansing; nine great-grandchildren and several grandchildren.

Mrs. Haines reposed at the Pickens Funeral Home, in Lake Odessa, where funeral
services were held Friday, November 30, at 2:00 p.m.  Burial was in Lakeside
Cemetery.
