Mr. Hair would have been 86 years of age next month. He was a native of York county, Pennsylvania, and was one of those honest, sturdy Pennsylvania Dutchman, who have made such excellent citizens and who have done more to improve the West than any other people. He came into Ionia county 30 years ago, and might, with propriety, be called a pioneer. He was a hard working man, upright in all his dealings, and was one of the oldest men in this vicinity.
