Excerpts from Lansing Obituary

GLENDA LYNN (HOCKING) HAIRE
Died May 9, 2021-age 81 of Portland at Lansing.
Born June 13, 1939 at St.Ignace,Mich.
Daughter of the late Thoburn John and Beth Hocking 
Graduated Owosso High School class of 1957.
Worked for General Motors in Lansing, retired 1999 after 30 years.
First marriage with Cliff Porter, had four boys.
Married Thomas Haire, had a daughter.
Was a member of The Daughters of The Revolution.
Involved with genealogy, and making quilts for her grandkids.
Survived by her children, Robert (Lorie) Porter; Bradley (Lynda) Porter; Brian 
Porter; and Lisa (Matt) English, and siblings Greg (Dolly) Hocking; Kathy (Tom) 
Dobosenski; and Judy (Curt) Ahlden; and sister-in-law, Judy Hocking; daughter-
in-law, Jozette Porter, 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the 
way
Preceded in death by her brothers, David and Bob Hocking and son, Bart Porter.
A memorial will be Friday May 14, 2021, 2 p.m. at Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral 
Home, Grand Ledge.
Visitation will be Friday before the service 12-2-p.m.
Inurnment will follow at Delta Center cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Covid protocols to be observed.
