                              Marvin "Allen" Hake

Marvin "Allen" Hake, 54, of Lake Odessa, passed away Saturday, Sept 25, 2010.

Allen graduated from Holt High School in 1974 and played basketball at Central 
Michigan. An accomplished professional musician, he played with the Hues 
Corporation of Rock the Boat" fame and owned TAL Productions, a reel-to-reel 
recording studio, from 1983 to 1988.

"Big Al" was an audio engineer for the city of East Lansing and State and Sport 
Audio, Charlotte recently, he had worked at Meridian Automotive, Ionia. He 
earned an Associates Degree in Electronic Technology in 1995, and currently a 
student at LCC pursuing a degree in digital audio, video cinematography with his 
loving wife of 29 years, Kim.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin I. Hake and Marion Hake (Muir) 
and father-in-law Harvey E.Wood, all of Holt.

He is survived by is wife, Kim (Wood) Hake; sons, Kallen Hake (Tammy Friend) of 
Woodland, Benjamin Hake of Grand Rapids, Abraham hake of Lake Odessa; daughter, 
Alesheia Hake of Grand Rapids; step-grandchildren, Kendra and Skyler Friend; 
mother-in-law Mary E.Wood of Holt; sister Pamela (Robert) Copeland of Houghton 
Lake; nephew Corey Hake of Lansing; niece Emily (Paul) Castle and sons of Mason; 
many brothers, sisters and in-laws, nieces and nephews on Kim's side.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct.16, at Lakewood 
United Methodist Church, east of Lake Odessa on M-50. A luncheon will follow.
