Surviving are the husband Oliver; two sons, Gaylord, of Grand Ledge; Don of Charlotte; two daughters, Lamoyne Shepard, of Perry; and Betty Schumaker, of Charlotte. Also two brothers, Edd Compton, of Sunfield, and Charles Compton, of Mulliken. Funeral services were held at the Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte, Monday afternoon, with Mrs. Pearl McFarland reading the Christian Science service. Burial was in the Danby cemetery. Mrs. Hale was born and raised in Danby township and after her marriage to Mr. Hale, lived in various communities in Michigan, and at the time of her death, lived on a farm near Charlotte.
