John A (Jack) Haley
John A.(Jack) Haley, 83, of 129 Pleasant St., Portland, died Thursday, Sept. 23,
1982, at his home. He was a resident of Portland for over 58 years.

Mr. Haley was born March 5, 1899, in Fenton, a son of John Haley and Mary
Luckenbauch. 

He was a retired Standard Oil distributor, a member of Dale Hyland Post 127 in
Portland, a member of Knights of Columbus for 50 years, a past Grand Knight, and a member of 
Standard Oil Clubs of Michigan and Florida.

Surviving are his wife, Veronica (Froni); two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Colleen)
Schanz of Kalamazoo and Mrs. Thomas (Joan) Allen of Portland; five grandchildren; and one
sister, Mrs. Gertrude LaVigne of Bradenton, Fla.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. in St.Patrick's Church. 
Arrangements are being made by the Neller Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Portland Cemetery.
