Hall was born in Lyons January 8, 1854, and died suddenly in St. Louis, Mo., August 29, 1917, at the age of 63. He lived all his early life in Lyons until twenty years ago when he moved to Arkansas. From the age of eleven until his removal to Arkansas, he lived in the house now occupied by M.E. Brown, the old Hall home, to which his body was brought back, and where fittingly the funeral services were held. December 21, 1882, he was married at Grand Rapids to Flora Brown, sister of M.E. and M.P. Brown of this place. They lived in Arkansas eleven years, and the past nine years have lived in St. Louis, Mo. The wife, a daughter, and a sister are left to mourn his loss. He will be remembered by all who knew him as kind and upright, popular and respected by his associates. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, and though he knew the nature of his physical ailment and that the summons might come at any moment, he said, “I am ready to go.” Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Geo. A. Brown. Interment in the Lyons cemetery.
