(Johnson) DOD: Thursday, 26 September 1957 Mrs. Sara E. Hall, 79, of Palo, died early Thursday morning at the Ionia County memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past 10 days. Born February 10, 1878, she was a daughter of James and Harriet Johnston and had been a resident of Palo for the past 28 years. Prior, she had resided in Ionia and Chicago, Mrs. Hall was a member of the Methodist church of Palo and the W.S.C.S. of the church. She was also a member of O. E. S. She was married October 1, 1902 to Pearl W. Hall. Surviving are her husband, Pearl one son, Allan J. Hall, Kalamazoo; two grandchildren, Marjorie and Geoffrey, Kalamazoo; one brother, W. Fred Johnston, Port Sanilac; one sister, Miss Anna M. Johnston, Lexington. Funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist church in Palo Saturday at 2 pm with the Rev. Harold Cox of Hubbardston officiating. Burial will be in the Palo cemetery. The body is at the Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan. Memoriams are being made to the Michigan Heart Fund.
