Born Aug. 23, 1898, in Ronald Township, he was the son of Freeman and Millie Hall. A resident of the Palo are since 1957, he previously lived in Detroit. He had been a licensed funeral director since 1926 and at one time operated a funeral home in Ionia. He was assiciated with a Detroit funeral home and also with Stebbins and Simpson Funeral Home in Sheridan. He was a member of Michigan Funeral Directors Association and of the Pearl Lake Lodge No. 203, F.& A.M. and of the Saladin Shrine Temple in Grand Rapids. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite on May 13, 1975. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Lois Arthur of Saginaw and Mrs. Vivian Philipchuck of Sterling Heights. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Stebbins and Simpson Funeral Home, Sheridan, with the Rev. Gerald Bowen officiating. Burial will be at Palo Cemetery and Pearl Lake Lodge will conduct Masonic Graveside services. A memorial for the Masoic Lodge has been established in the care of the funeral home.
