He was born in Lysander, New York, December 7, 1862. When six years old he came to Michigan with his parents. He was graduated from Michigan State college and taught for years in rural schools in Ionia county, later entering a lumber business in Grand Rapids. Mr. Hall was married to Miss Flora Estella Adgate, of Ionia in 1892. In 1910 he took his family to Oregon, settling in Grants Pass. The following year they moved to Eugene, Ore., and he founded the Eugene Concrete Pike company. The past few years he has lived in Albedore, where he ran a grocery store. Mrs. Hall died in 1914, and in 1920 he married Miss Carmelita Hill, of Mt. Pleasant, who survives him. He also leaves one daughter, Mrs. Louis A. Bomb, of Passadena, Calif., and three sons, Howard, of Portland, Ore., Eugene, of Lowell, and Franklin, of Eau Claire, Wis., and six grand children. Mr. Hall was formerly a member of the Ionia Presbyterian church, and later a member of that church at Eugene. His first wife was a sister of Mrs. Frank Taft, Mrs. Fred Scheurer, Mrs. Arden Benedict, Louis Adgate, Orange township, and Frank Adgate, of Portland.
