Hall, wife of Alpha E. Hall of North Dexter street, died at the Blodgett Memorial hospital at Grand Rapids Saturday afternoon, February 4, at 4:50 o’clock. She was born in Pewamo, October 4, 1904, the daughter of Hugh and Della Robertson. She attended the Lyons school and upon moving to Ionia, November 1, 1918, attended the Ionia high school, graduating in 1924. After graduating she attended the Mt. Pleasant school and received a life certificate in teaching. For several years she taught the Schaefer school and other rural schools in North Plains township. She was a member of the South Ionia Friendship club and attended the Ionia Church of Christ. April 18, 1931 she was married to Alpha E. Hall of Elkhart, Ind. Surviving beside the husband are two children, William, 7, Elwyn, 4; the father; two brothers, Hugh, jr., of Lansing and Alex Robertson of Pontiac and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Reeder of Ionia and Mrs. Phillip Wisniewski of Lansing. The body was brought to the Stone funeral home in Ionia Saturday evening where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, February 7, at 2 o’clock by the Rev. C. A. Brady, pastor of the Ionia Church of Christ. Interment will be made at the Lyons cemetery. ---------- Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, February 7, at 2 o’clock from the Stone funeral home for Mrs. Florence G. Hall, wife of Alpha E. Hall, who died at the Blodgett hospital in Grand Rapids Saturday afternoon, February 4. The Rev. C.A. Brady, pastor of the Ionia Church of Christ, officiated. Interment was at the Lyons cemetery. Bearers were Hugh Robertson, Alexander Robertson, Clare Schafer, Willis Schafer, Ward Jones and Philip Wisniewski. Mrs. Eugene Hannah and Mrs. Eric Wendland were in charge of the flowers. Music was furnished by Mrs. Brook Fuller and Mrs. Irwin Moon. Those attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Watling, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Robertson, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Wisniewski and Mrs. J. Summers of Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Rice and daughter, Alice, Russell Rice and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rice of Nashville and Alexander Robertson of Pontiac and relatives and friends of Lyons, Pewamo and Muir. Attending the services in a body were members of the Friendship club of South Ionia.
