He came to Michigan in 1887 and lived for several years in Gratiot County. He came to Hubbardston in 1910, where he spent the last 23 years of his life. After the death of his first wife he married again. He had one child, whom he adopted out to another when she was an infant and nothing more is known of her. He has no known relatives. For seven years he lived with John Linger. For nearly two years, just previous to his death, he made his home with the Chas. Kunzi family, where he died. He was a man well respected in the community. The funeral was held Saturday morning at the Kunzi home, one and one-half miles west of Hubbardston, Rev. Floyd N. Drake officiating. The burial was in the west side cemetery.
