She had been ill, in bed but a short time. Mrs. Hall was born July 25, 1858 to William and Hannah Penny, the youngest child in a family of five. All her brothers and sisters preceded her in death. She came here from New York state at the age of one year. She was married 45 years ago to Robert Hall and lived for a time at Shiloh, coming back to her old home to care for her father in his declining years and had lived here ever since. She leaves besides her husband, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ben Penny of Grand Rapids; nieces and nephews in Bay City, Grand Rapids, Benton Harbor and Bigfork, Mont.; also Mrs. Myrtle Arntz of Ionia and Douglas Dye of this vicinity. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. Woolcock of Ionia officiating. Burial was in Woodard Lake cemetery. Bearers were Claude Coppins, Ray Emery, Arthur Walker, neighbors, and a cousin, Harley Decker of Sheridan. Subsequent publications: April 17, 1941 Mrs. Alice Bemrose, who has taken care of Mrs. Hall several weeks returned to her home in Orleans Saturday night. Mrs. Myrtle Arntz of Ionia is staying a few days with her uncle, Robert Hall. Relatives and friends from Grand Rapids, Benton Harbor, Ionia, Vickeryville, Orleans and Sheridan were here to attend Mrs. Hall’s funeral.
