When a child of five years, she came with her parents to Michigan and settled for a year in Wayne county, then located in Clinton county. The balance of her life was spent in or near the village of Hubbardston. In 1881 she was united in marriage to Francis H. Hall who preceded her to the better world December 12, 1896. When a girl of 17 she was converted and joined the M. E. church at Matherton, transferring later to the M. E. church at Hubbardston where she remained a faithful and consistent member until her death. No storm or weather ever prevented her from attending the class and prayer meeting of the church she loved. She was a woman of strong individuality and always sought to do what she thought was right. She leaves to mourn her loss an aged sister in Ingham county, a niece, Mrs. Harriett Chick, of Hubbardston, another niece, Mrs. Eugene Parks of Fowler, and a nephew, Wm. Briggs, of Orleans, and a wide circle of friends among her old neighbors. The funeral services were held in the M. E. church at Hubbardston Tuesday, September 23, in charge of her pastor and her body laid to rest in the East side cemetery by the side of her soldier husband.
