Guy A. Hall and several men were at work moving a hog pen. The building, which was quite a heavy structure, had been raised and there were half a dozen jack-screws under the sills. Mr. Hall’s little boy sat near the building which suddenly slipped from its blocking, and as it went over onto the ground caught the little one, crushing out its very life. The child was under the edge of the building eight minutes before he could be released, and lived less than an hour, not regaining consciousness. Dr. McDonald was called but no help could save him. The little one’s name was Levi J., named after his grandfather, Levi J. Barnard, of Berlin. He was a bright lad and the parents and relatives have the sympathy of all.
