Arthur Hall, 81, a resident of Ionia county all of his life, died at his home, northeast of the city, Friday evening at 6:30 after an attack of flu, which coupled with the condition resulting from a three months illness, caused his death. Mrs. Hall, who before her marriage 57 years ago was Miss Tillie Martin, is herself critically ill. Mr. Hall was a member of the Church of Christ, and for a long term of years served the township as supervisor. He leaves besides the widow, three sons, Roy, at home; Herbert Hall, of Chicago; Ralph Hall, of Detroit; also three brothers, Luther E. Hall and Frank Hall, Sr., of Ionia, and Herman Hall, of Detroit, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Freeman, of Lowell, and Mrs. Ada Higbee, of Ronald. The out of town sons were expected to arrive in Ionia Saturday, and the funeral services would then be arranged.
