Ionia County Shopper's Guide, 4 Feb 2006

Velva Laura Hall, age 95 of Ventura, California, passed away Tuesday, January 
17, 2006 after a lengthy illness.  Velva was born July 2, 1910 to Royal and 
Margie Hall in Ionia.  She was a Ventura County resident for 30 years.  She 
worked in the health care industry for 20 years.  She served her country in the 
United States Navy at the rank of seaman first class, and was stationed in 
Jacksonville, Fla.  She was a resident of the Ventura Town House for many years 
and enjoyed spending time with her friends there and taking part in the 
activities at the Town House.  For many years she also enjoyed horseback 
riding, and her work in Pasadena.  She was preceded in death by her sister, 
Esther Renwick of Saranac.  Velva will be missed by her nieces: Helen (Harvey) 
Noon and Margy (John) Raimer of Saranac, as well as several great nieces and 
nephews.  She also leaves behind her cousins: Mrs. Meredith Loree, Kenmere …
