HALL DEAD Active In Ionia Business Circles Many Years Ben B. Hall of Lansing, one of Ionia's business men for twenty years, leaving here about 1896, died at 11:00 o'clock Monday morning, at his home in Lansing, where he has lived for the recent years. He leaves a widow and a daughter, Miss Eloise Hall. Mrs. Oscar Webber of this city is a sister, and F.G. Goodrich a nephew. The funeral will be held at the home in Lansing at 10:00 o'clock Thursday morning, under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity, after which the body will be bought to Highland Park, in Ionia, for burial, the Masons of this city conducting the burial service. Mr. Hall came to this city in 1875 and married here five years later, after which he went to Duluth, where he was in business for a time. His first business here was in a grocery store with his brother, Oscar Webber. Upon his return some years later, he bought an interest in the coal business of Page, Bates & Co., with whom he remained until his he left the city for good, going into lumber business in Grand Ledge. His last illness lasted for about three months before his death, although he suffered with diabetes before that period.
