The Portland Observer, Wednesday, February 11, 1880

Died—Feb. 1st, Mrs. Nancy Halladay, aged 81 years.  The funeral ceremonies 
were conducted by Rev. Mr. Morrison of Portland, who is a touching and 
eloquent manner described the beautiful Christian life of the deceased, who 
leaves behind an aged and devoted husband and several children to mourn her 
loss.
