Ionia Standard, 17 Jan 1890

Mrs. Catherine, widow of Henry Halladay, died suddenly at her residence near 
Portland, Tuesday morning.  She had been complaining, but was not considered 
serious until a short time before she died, aged 63 years.  Her sickness was a 
kidney disease.  Mrs. Halladay was a cousin of Chas. L. Halladay, register of 
deeds, and lived in Danby, near his Sebewa farm, for about 30 years.
