The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 25, 1978


Leona Halpin, 63, of 1800 Lillian boulevard, died Sunday at her home.  She was 
born July 18, 1915 in Lansing, the daughter of Charles Redman and Blanche 
Kennedy.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Sally Tomlian of West Branch, Mrs. Judy 
Martin and Sean Halpin of Portland and Mrs. Patricia Judson of Lansing; three 
sisters, Mrs. Betty Sawyer of East Lansing, Mrs. Isabel Gunton of Flint and 
Mrs. Elizabeth Rau of New York; two brothers Clarence Redman of Ohio and Donald 
Redman of Georgia and 13 grandchildren.

A Christian wake is Monday at 8 p.m. in the Neller funeral home with funeral 
mass Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Patrick’s church in Portland.  Burial is in 
Evergreen cemetery in Lansing.
