Ionia Standard, 16 Feb 1917

Mrs. Eva Halstead, formerly of Lyons died at 2:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon 
at the county home, where she was sent some months ago to be treated as a 
tuberculosis patient.  She was 37 years old and leaves six children, ranging 
from four to fourteen years.  Her husband died four or five years ago.  The 
funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the M.E. church in 
Portland, and she was buried beside her husband.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was 
buried in Lyons Cemetery.]
