Esther M. Hamblin, 82, of Ionia, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015.  She was
born Aug. 15, 1932, in Ree Heights, S.D., the daughter of Julius and Effie Funk.
 She married George A. Sallek.  He preceded her in death.  She later married
George H. Hamblin.  He also preceded her in death.

Esther resided in Edmore, and Florida, before returning to Ionia.  She was a
former member of the American Legion Auxillary and Ionia Elks Lodge Antlerettes.
 Esther loved to golf, sing and socialize.

She is survived by her children, Gail Hamblin of Edmore, Mark (Amy) Hamblin of
Canadian Lakes, Chris Sallek of Ann Arbor, Jill McLees of Orleans, David (Lori)
Sallek of Lansing, Lynn (Rick) Bandfield of Edmore, and Jody (Mike) Randall of
Edmore; her brother, Donald Funk of Lansing; 14 grandchildren, and nine
great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Gibbs;
son-in-law, Richard Gibbs; granddaughter, Erin Hamblin; and one sister, Pauline.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia,
Visitation will be one hour prior to services.  Those wishing, may make memorial
contributions to Grace Hospice or Alzheimers Foundation.
