Sentinel-Std. - Monday, Aug. 27, 1973

Arthur C. Hamilton, 77 of 3955 Burton, S.E., Grand Rapids, died Sunday at 
Blodgett Memorial hospital. He was the father to Sarah Hamilton, Ionia Junior 
high school teacher.

Born July 9, 1896, in Aurora, Ill., he was a son of Charles and Daisy Hamilton. 
He accepted a job in 1924 with the former Consumers Ice Company, now City 
Products Corporation of Grand Rapids. He became manager of the company in 1936 
and retired in 1951. He was a navy veteran of World War I and graduate of 
University of Wisconsin.

Surviving are his wife, the former Katherine Horner; three daughters, Sarah E. 
Hamilton of Ionia, Mrs. James C. Yeakey of Muskegon and Mrs. Robert B. Wheaton 
of St. Joseph; five grandchildren; three brothers, Ray, Edward and George 
Hamilton of Aurora, Ill.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 pm at Metcalf funeral chapel in Grand 
Rapids. Rev. Charles M. Hawes of Grace Episcopal church of Grand Rapids.

Interment will be at Woodlawn cemetery in Grand Rapids.
