Portland Observer, 5 Feb 1931

Mrs. Clara Isadore Hamler, aged resident of Lyons, died Tuesday in Detroit 
where she had been staying for some time.  Funeral services will be held in 
Lyons Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock.  She was born in Lyons township on June 
4, 1859, and had always lived in that vicinity.

Survivors are Mrs. Charles Minard and Mrs. E. A. Penny, of Detroit; Arthur 
McQuillan, of Chicago, and George McQuillan at home, the children by her first 
husband, David McQuillan; Ruth Hamler, of Detroit; and Mabel Hamler, of Lyons, 
children by her second husband; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Van 
Drezer, Grand Haven, and Miss Bessie Tubbs, of Portland, and two brothers, 
Floyd Tubbs, of Lyons, and Herbert Tubbs, of Portland.
