Ionia Sentinel Standard, 16 Mar 1970

Ruth Hamler, 67, of Lyons died Monday morning at Ionia Manor.  She was born in 
Lyons, August 20, 1902, the daughter of Albert and Dora Hamler.  She was a 
graduate of Lyons high school as salutatorian and graduate of Ypsilanti Normal 
and Wayne State university.  She taught in the Dearborn school 38 years, 
retiring in 1961.  She was a lifelong member of Lyons United Methodist church.  
Surviving is a sister, Mable Hamler of Lyons.

Funeral services will be Wednesday from Lyons United Methodist church with 
burial in Lyons cemetery.
