The funeral services will be held in Lyons Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Dr. S. Arthur Cook officiating. The interment will be made in the Lyons cemetery. Mrs. Hamler was born June 4, 1859, in Lyons township and had always lived in the vicinity of the village. As long as able she was an active worker in the Methodist Episcopal church, being one of the early members, carrying her activities into the circles of the ladies’ aid society and the foreign missionary society. She also held membership in the Grace church Episcopal guild and the W.C.T.U. Survivors are Mrs. Charles Minard and Mrs. E.A. Penny, of Detroit; Arthur McQuillan, of Chicago, and George McQuillan at home, the children by her first husband, Davie McQuillan; Ruth Hamler, of Detroit, and Mabel Hamler, of Lyons, children by her second husband; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Effie VanDrezer, Grand Haven, and Miss Bessie Tubbs, of Portland, and two brothers, Floyd Tubbs, of Lyons, and Herbert Tubbs, of Portland.
