Excerpts from Obituary:
Robert Merrill Hamlin of Grand Rapids
Died August 11, 2019-age 94
Bob was born December 9, 1924 in Portland, Oregon to Harry & Ruth Hamlin.
The family moved to Ionia, MI when Bob was young.
Bob attended Ionia schools, & joined the Navy as a ship radio operator at the 
age of 17.
Returning to MI, he married Letha Delores Hyatt & began a career in Sales.
He & Dee had three children, Scott, Robyn and Kelli.
In 1960 He founded his Electronic business "Robyn International, named after 
his oldest daughter. 
Bob & Dee raised their family in Rockford until Dee died.
In 1969, Bob married Kaylyn Cheryl York.
Bob designed & manufactured the Robyn CB radio. He retired early.
When his children were grown, Bob & Kaylyn spent their winters in Wailea, 
Maui.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister Joyce Ann Watts, first wife Leitha 
"Dee", son Scott & great-granddaughter Winter Churchill-Tenhoor.
Survived by wife,Kaylyn, sister Ginny Todd, 2 Daughters, 7 grandchildren, and 
3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Calvary Church 
Chapel, Beltline Dr., Grand Rapids, MI. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Thursday.
Again Wednesday 5-7 p.m. at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE,
