He had been sick about a fortnight, but had not been considered dangerously sick at any time, and even his physician, Dr.Hugg, did not consider his end so near.The immediately cause of death was a carbuncle which appeared on the back of his neck, the effects of which soon enveloped the head and effected the brain; and it is the opinion of the attending physician that the carbuncle burst on the inside of the head, producing a clot on the brain.
