Services were conducted at the home Tuesday by Pastor W. D. Ogg assisted by Elder Henry Coles, burial in South Boston cemetery. Mr. Sargent was born in Calhoun county, Michigan, Feb. 20, 1852 and lived with his parents in the south part of the state until 21 years of age when he moved to Sebewa township, residing there until the spring of 1909 when he moved to Boston township. He was married in 1887 to Mary F. Fuller of Sebewa. There were born to thi s union nine children; John E., Irene, Ira, George E., Jesse W., Ivah I., Mary, Bertha E. and Richard. Mr. Sargent was a member of the Presbyterian church of West Sebewa since 20 years of age and has always tried to lead a Christian life. He was a kind and loving husband and father.
