Mrs. Anna K. Hammond, 85, of 1311 Fourth avenue, Lake Odessa, died at 11 p.m.
Sunday at Pennock hospital in Hastings a few hours after admittance.  She was
born November 22, 1878 in Bedford county, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph
and Elizabeth Miller Kauffman, and following her marriage to Nathaniel Thomas in
March 21, 1901, resided in Clarksville.  Mr. Thomas died November 12, 1929. 
Mrs. Hammond moved to Lake Odessa in the spring of 1930 from Clarksville and was
married to Oren Hammond January 22, 1931.  He died February 12, 1941.

Mrs. Hammond is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Orvin Catt; three grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be at Pickens funeral chapel Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with
Rev. Roy Houghton officiating.  Burial will be at Mennonite cemetery at Bowne.
