She was born in Greenville, Oct. 23, 1892, the daughter of William and Hattie Foss and was 55 years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Orlie Hammond and had lived in the city, 35 years, 19 years at the residence on Merrick Ave. She was a member of the Church of Christ, the Rebekah Lodge, Royal Neighbors, Blue Star Mothers, and V.F.W. Auxiliary. Besides the husband, she leaves one son Earl O., one brother Orvey Foss of Grand Rapids and her mother, Mrs. Hattie Foss of Ionia. Funeral services were held Saturday at 3:30 at Fales-Huffman Funeral Home, Rev. H.S. Ellis officiating and a memorial service was conducted by the Rebekah lodge. Interment was in Otisco cemetery. Pall bearers were Ransom Moore, Charles Woodruff, George Connor, Earl Richardson, Albert Peterson, and Manuel Mooney.
