The son of Donald and Teresa Sisson Hammond, he was born Sept. 26, 1977, in Greenville. On Aug. 12, 1995, in Greenville, he married the former Brandy Thomas. He had been employed at the former Frigidaire Home Products, Greenville. Chris loved “speed,” especially fast dirt bikes, ATVs and snowmobiles. He prized his TransAm. Surviving are his wife, Brandy Hammond of Greenville, two sons, Christopher Lee Hammond II, Dakota Charles Hammond of Greenville; his parents, Donald and Teresa Hammond of Greenville; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald Harry II and Leslie Hammond of Greenville; his maternal grandmother, Celia Sisson of Greenville; his paternal grandfather, Harry Hammond of Trufant; a niece, “Princess” Ashley Hammond of Greenville; his parents-in-law, Sherri and Dan Blake, Jerry and Connie Main, all of Lakeview; his great-grandparents-in-law, Bob Sr. and Virginia Thomas of Greenville; his grandparents-in-law, Bob Thomas Jr. of Greenville, Roberta and Dennis Yaw of Lakeview; a sister-in-law, Kerri Simons of Lakeview; two brothers-in-law, Brent Main, Justin Main, both of Lakeview; nine aunts and 10 uncles, several cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Erv Sisson, in 1985, and his paternal grandmother, Marjorie Hammond, in 1994. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Brown-Teman Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Wayne Otto, pastor of Heartland Community Church, Ionia, officiating. Burial is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Envelopes for memorial contributions are available at the funeral home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
