                         OBITUARY
             HESTER ANN HAMMOND
   Mrs. Hester Ann Hammond (nee Knapp) was born in Odessa township, Ionia county,
Mich., February 16, 
1858, and passed away at her home in the village of Lake Odessa, Mich., April 16,
1935.  She reached the ripe 
age of 77 years, two months.
   On the 18th of February, 1877, she was united in marriage to Ambrose Hammond.  To
this union was born 
one son Orin Hammond of Lansing, Mich.
   Besides her son there remain two brothers Horatio and Allison Knapp, two sisters
Eliza and Belle.  Her 
husband preceded her some years ago from this life.
   Mrs. Hammond spent her whole life residing in Odessa township except for one year
that was spent in 
Lansing, Mich.

and death of our dear 
mother, and for the beautiful flowers, also Rev. R. A. Hoffman for his comforting
