                                MRS. FERN HAMMONTREE

Mrs.Fern Hammontree of 319 Ranney St., passed away suddenly at her home on 
December 31. She was 56 and suffered a one day's illness.

Mrs. Hammontree was born October 1, 1905 in Alma, Michigan and was married to 
Lloyd Hammontree of Belding May 10, 1923.

Survivors are one daughter Arlene at home and six sons Marvin at home, Lloyd Jr. 
of DeWitt, Earl and Larry of Evansville, Indiana, Lewis of Edwardsburg and 
Warren of Belding. There are also six sisters, Mrs.Delta Miller, Mrs. Othella 
Kemler, Mrs.Anna Gager and Mr.Feiry Frank of Alma, Mrs.DeEtta Peacock of 
St.Louis, Mrs.Grace Moore of Ithaca and one brother Paul Shaffer of Alma. Also 
14 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Huffman Funeral Home 
with Rev. Frank Gillett officiating.Interment is in River Ridge Cemetery, 
Belding with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Alma.
