Lake Odessa Wave 
          RITES HELD WED. FOR PEMELIA HAMP
   Mrs. Pemelia Hamp, 81, passed away at her home Sunday noon after a several month
illness.  She was born in Barry County and was the last survivor of the family of 
twelve children of Samuel and Julia Meyers.  
   Mrs. Hamp has been a resident here for about 29 years, moving from the farm
northwest of town.  She had also resided near Saranac and Caledonia before moving 
to this area.  She was a member of the Caledonia United Brethren Church.
   Surviving are four sons, Tom of Durand, Charles of Lake Odessa, Walter of Grand
Rapids, and Robert of St. Louis, one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Barnes of Grand Rapids, 
nine grand and fourteen great grand children.  Her husband, Robert, passed away seven 
years ago.  March 1, 1944
   Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at thee residence with Rev. Roy
Houghton officiating.  Burial in Lakeside cemetery.
   The grandsons Jack Livingston and Daryl Camp of Grand Rapids, Robert Bopp of
Lansing.  Donald Hamp of Grand Ledge, Roger Hamp and Fred Courtney of Lake Odessa were 
pallbearers.
