The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 15, 1980
Theodore Hampel, 79, of 715 6th Ave., died Saturday at Pennock Hospital in 
Hastings.  He was born August 12, 1901 in Big Rapids, the son of Julius and 
Augusta Johansen Hampel.  He attended schools near Rodney, Mich. and lived in 
Mecosta County until he moved to the Lake Odessa area in 1947.  He was an 
employee of the E. W. Bliss Manufacturing Co. in Hastings for 20 years.  

Mr. Hampel married Marian Coon in 1926.  He is survived by his wife; two sons, 
Bruce of Rodney and Keith of Lake Odessa; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (June) 
Morlok, Mrs. Jay Blakely and Mrs. Charles ( Linda) Begerow, all of Lake 
Odessa; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel, 
with the Rev. Fred Bultman officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
